Aquarium & aquatic life support

Life support, water chemistry, and animal records in one system.

EchidnaCare tracks the systems that keep your animals alive — tanks, pumps, filtration, and the chemistry of the water itself — beside the medical and daily care records for the animals those systems support.

Life Support systems, not just enclosures

Model each system with the components that make it up — protein skimmers, sand filters, chillers, UV sterilisers — with volumes, status, and the exhibits each one serves.

Water chemistry with thresholds

Record pH, temperature, salinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and dissolved oxygen. Set the range each parameter should hold, so a reading outside it is visible rather than buried in a logbook.

Probe readings and manual logs together

Ingest readings from probes or enter them by hand. Either way the history sits with the system, next to the animals that depend on it.

Evaluation checklist

What buyers usually need to know before they request a demo.

Medical included

SOAP notes, medications, diagnostics, vaccines, rechecks, and clinical history are included—not sold as a separate medical add-on.

No per-seat pressure

Plans are built so the people doing daily care can log records directly instead of sharing accounts or backfilling notes later.

Exportable records

Animal history, documents, and facility records remain downloadable, so switching systems does not create a new lock-in problem.

Private by design

Staff safety and daily operations are built around consent, appropriate access, and a clear record of important changes.

Day-to-day work

Everything the water touches, in one place.

Life support, water quality, animal records, and maintenance stay connected, so the aquarist on the floor and the curator reviewing the week are looking at the same picture.

Life Support systems

Systems, tanks, and components with volumes, operational status, and the enclosures each one serves.

Water quality logs

Dated readings for every parameter, held against the thresholds that define normal for that particular system.

Aquatic animal records

Identifiers, species details, status, photos, documents, history, reminders, and searchable timelines.

EchidnaVet SOAP notes

Clinical notes, medications, diagnostics, rechecks, vaccines, procedures, and weight trends.

Facility map and inspections

Map habitats, pump rooms, electrical panels, and shutoffs, then keep operational status and signed inspection history beside the areas they support.

Maintenance dashboard

Report issues with photos, flag urgent work, assign repairs, and see what is out of service or due for inspection.

Documents and inspection packets

Attach official files, veterinary documents, permits, reports, and exportable records.

Switching

Bring your aquatic records into one shared place.

Whether your current records live in exports, spreadsheets, or a shared drive, EchidnaCare can start from the history your aquarium team already relies on.

1

Bring what you already have

Send ACS exports, ZIMS exports, spreadsheets, documents, and the side files your team still depends on.

2

We organize the records

Animals, species details, locations, medical history, documents, transfers, and care logs are organized in one workspace.

3

Start with your real records

Your team begins with live records in place, then logs care, treatments, maintenance, and reports from day one.
