How we count your animals
Plans count the animals currently in your care at each facility. Animals you have released or transferred, and animals that have died, stop counting toward your plan and stay in your records. Nothing is deleted. A group entry counts as one; individually tracked animals count separately.
If your intake is seasonal — a rehabilitation centre releasing most of what it takes in — your plan follows the animals you are actually caring for, not everything you have ever recorded.

Frequently asked questions
Is medical really included on every plan?
Yes. EchidnaVet (including structured veterinary notes (SOAP), exams, treatments, vaccinations, medications, weights, and diagnoses) is part of every tier, including Essential. We never charge extra for essential medical records.
Can I switch plans later?
Change your plan as the number of animals in your care changes. Staff accounts remain unlimited. We confirm the price and effective date before a change.
Is there a free trial?

How does migration work?
Migration help is included. We review a sample, agree the supported records and timing, and let your team check the import. Anything you keep as an attachment does not travel — scanned permits, vet imaging, a necropsy PDF. Photos come across as one link per animal. Those files stay where they are and you keep that copy; you re-upload what you need afterwards. We tell you that before we start, not after.
Can I get my data back out?
Yes. Your records stay yours. Every plan includes downloads and read-only connections for approved tools, so you can keep a complete copy of your facility history.
Do staff seats cost extra?
No per-seat surprises. Every plan includes unlimited staff seats so your whole team can log care from the field.
How does Echidna protect our facility data?
Private facility records require sign-in. Managers control which roles can see sensitive tools, and important actions such as exports, deletions, billing changes, permissions, and location access are recorded for review.
What security checks are in place?
Records are private behind sign-in, and managers control who can use sensitive tools such as location sharing, live maps and alerts. Changes are logged with who made them and when, in a chained history your administrators can read and export, and your records are copied once a day. Staff choose whether to share location.
