How we count animal records
Plans count stored animal records per facility, including released, transferred and deceased animals whose records remain at that site. Frequently asked questions
Is medical really included on every plan?
Yes. EchidnaVet (including structured veterinary notes (SOAP), exams, treatments, vaccinations, medications, weights, and diagnoses) is part of every tier, including Essential. We never charge extra for essential medical records.
Can I switch plans later?
Change your plan as your stored animal-record count changes. Staff accounts remain unlimited. We confirm the price and effective date before a change.
Is there a free trial?

How does migration work?
Migration help is included. We review a sample, agree the supported records and timing, and let your team check the import. Anything you keep as an attachment does not travel — scanned permits, vet imaging, a necropsy PDF. Photos come across as one link per animal. Those files stay where they are and you keep that copy; you re-upload what you need afterwards. We tell you that before we start, not after.
Can I get my data back out?
Yes. Your records stay yours. Every plan includes downloads and read-only connections for approved tools, so you can keep a complete copy of your facility history.
Do staff seats cost extra?

How does EchidnaCare protect our facility data?
Private facility records require sign-in. Managers control which roles can see sensitive tools, and important actions such as exports, deletions, billing changes, permissions, and location access are recorded for review.
What security checks are in place?
Sign-in and access settings, backups, data exports, privacy and retention settings, support access, and incident response are reviewed on a recurring schedule. Staff choose whether to share location, and managers control access to live maps, alerts, and other safety tools.
