Does Echidna work without an internet connection?

Yes. When Wi-Fi drops, Echidna saves care logs, weights, health records, vaccinations, medications and observations on the device and sends them automatically once the connection returns. Photos need a signal at the moment they are taken, except on maintenance reports and breeding records.

What happens to a care log if it fails to upload?

Failed items stay visible in a review screen so staff can re-submit them, instead of the record being silently lost.

Care logs save on the device

Supported care logs, SOAP notes, weights and medication records can queue on the device. Check the saved or queued status before leaving the screen.

Maintenance and breeding photos save too

Staff can keep adding photos to maintenance and breeding records even when there is no signal.
